Customized Training

Select new and expanding businesses are eligible for free customized training through the North Carolina Community College System. This is often cited by companies as one of the most valuable incentives offered by the state of North Carolina.

This training is designed to educate employees as efficiently as possible, and can often happen before a company ever starts production.

Higher Education

The Research Triangle Region is home to 12 colleges and universities and eight community colleges. Collectively these institutions enroll close to 150,000 students and confer 40,000+ degrees annually.

The largest of the universities — NC State, UNC Chapel Hill and Duke — combine to conduct more than $2 billion of research each year.

A Rapidly Growing Region

The Research Triangle Region of North Carolina, which includes Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, has seen incredible growth over the past few decades.

Research Triangle Park and Centennial Campus

Companies that locate in Triangle North will benefit from the close proximity to not just one, but two world-class research parks. The arguably more famous Research Triangle Park is home to 300+ innovative companies that employ well over 50,000 people. While NC State University’s Centennial Campus, may not be quite as well known or as large as RTP, it offers an exciting model where collaboration between business and university isn’t just recommended, it’s required!
